Venture Richmond
Venture Richmond engages business and community leaders in partnering with the City to enhance the vitality of the community, particularly Downtown, through economic development, marketing, promotion, advocacy and events. Their focus as a public private partner is to support the strategic direction of the City of Richmond while providing enhanced services downtown including sidewalk cleaning and safety Ambassadors. Venture Richmond is responsible for managing the Canal Walk and Brown's Island under a lease agreement with the City, including operation of canal boats as well as landscaping and beautification of the area. In addition, Venture Richmond produces festivals and events in downtown Richmond such as Friday Cheers, the 2nd Street Festival and the National Folk Festival.
